go to the beach. To walk. To unwind. To feel the breeze. I hope tomorrow will be a good (and warm) day so we can go. I will settle for sitting in the car as long as the windows are rolled down.

One of the topics the husband does not want to talk about is life insurance. I don’t know the reason why. He talks about it when it concerns other people thinking of getting life insurance quotes in preparation for applying for one in the future. But when it comes to us it is not to be talked about. I told him it might be a good idea since we do have a child and if anything happens to either of us at least the little man will get something. But the husband said we will try to save money for his son, put it in a trust and that will be it. So I quit talking to him about it. I think my own father has something to do with the husband’s reluctance in getting life insurance. I know they talked when he visited us years ago and that conversation is the reason why we don’t have life insurance. And money of course. Somehow it always boils down to that five letter word, lol.

This is one of the reasons why I love living in the South. I may complain about how cold it gets (which by the way is not that cold to most people) but I don’t complain about  food. Unless I worry about my weight, that is. I boiled the crabs with coconut milk, cut up squash, add some garlic and onions, a dash of salt and I had hearty meals for days. Did I mention I cooked a dozen crabs? The husband said he did not know there is any meat in crabs this tiny so I showed him and he is now a believer, lol.

Christmas came early for the little man. He has been getting little presents from his parents who normally will only buy him toys on special occasions. He got a toy truck complete with truck accessories last week which he loves so much. I have been buying him books too when he showed interest on the ones I showed him. Today we plan on going to Sam’s to buy him a monster truck we saw the other day when we went there to shop. We did not buy it last time because he was with us. We have to buy a toy for him when he is not around so we will have time to wrap it for him. The plan is I will go and buy the truck and him and his father will wait in the car. I will have to be extra careful not to let him know what I bought. He is at the age where he appreciates toys and plays with them with care (unless he is in tantrum). We do not buy him expensive toys though because it will break us. We settle for affordable toys and we just got lucky this little man does not care about prices as of yet.

About a year ago our vacuum cleaner quit working. I was in the middle of vacuuming the carpet when it happened too. And the husband was at work. It had to quit when my handy man was away and I do not know anything about vacuums and how to fix them. I barely know how to use it at the time, lol. Anyway, I was wondering what to do and how to explain my predicament to the husband. I was thinking of all the possible reasons why it quit and even went online to check on parts and wondered if it was the 115334 vacuum motor or something else. I hoped it was not something that can’t be fixed since at the time we did not have the money to buy a new vacuum. When the husband got home and I told him about what happened he looked at it to see what went wrong. Well, it turned out the roller was full of twisted hair- thick black hair-which made it stop spinning. Imagine my embarrassment? Thankfully that was all that was wrong with the vacuum cleaner. I was able to handle the embarrassment. It was easier to deal with than having to buy parts or worse a new vacuum cleaner.

Since I made this blog I have deleted hundreds of spam. I don’t know why I am a target though. My blog is not popular that I know of. It is annoying to read links about sex and incests and sex with animals. Aren’t there enough websites with these theme? I don’t know what to do anymore except delete the spam comments every time I log in. I thought about doing the captcha thing but I don’t know how well it works plus there is a problem on where to get it and how to put it in my blog. I do have a huge problem, lol. Maybe this is the reason why the spammers love my blog. Any idea how to, if not stop, at least minimize spams on blog posts? Something that does not include techie talk please. Thank you.

Since it gets colder, the husband and I are into buying food. We spend most of our money on food and  we have food trips to where I fix more food than two person can eat and we eat until we are full. It is not the best thing to do but food is good especially in this weather. I told him we have to stop buying more food though or we will be sorry in a few months when the pounds start piling up. I don’t think even the best diet pills can help us if we keep on eating like we do now. We actually have to trim down since we plan on going to visit my parents in Leyte next year and we need to look our best for the family. Maybe we will start when we eat up all the food in the freezer, lol.

It is a damp and gloomy day here in the South. It rained last night and although it is warming up outside I don’t think today is a good day to go out and do things. I just don’t like to be outside in a weather like this. So we might stay home today unless the husband has something important he has to do. I am more than content sitting here in front of my computer listening to my little boy yelling I love you’s, with the house smelling like freshly cooked sausage while I am reading about insurance marketing and checking networking sites and a lot of other things besides. It is a perfect day to stay home and relax and eat and relax some more. I hope the little man will not get bored with us as company.
