I took this picture yesterday when we were at the beach. When I showed the rest of the pictures to the husband tonight he said I am starting to take good pictures. I did have a nice shot of the birds fleeing from something or somebody. He also said I should make sure that I have copies of the pictures I downloaded on my computer in case we have to reformat it for any reason, even if we have to get online backup to do it. I said I will but not tonight. I am tired and sleepy. I may do it tomorrow if we still have a CD I can use. If not I can probably save some on my online networking account. I heard him telling his sister on the phone that we do not even have much pictures of the little man when he was a baby because most of the pictures were saved on the desktop that crashed. Well, that one was not my fault. I think, lol.

There are times when the husband and I talk about things we want to do. It does not matter if we cannot even afford to do any of these things we come up with anyway. We still do. If we can make some of these happen we will be very happy. One of the things we want to do in the future is to spend orlando vacations several times in a year. I know it requires a lot of money and so this one is filed under almost impossible, lol. We have been to Orlando once though and we all enjoyed it hence we want to go back again. Or at least day dream about it. We also want to go to California one day, to my husband’s birth place. And maybe to visit a friend who is in San Diego. We also would like to buy an RV and tour the states. Maybe when we win the lottery. For now we will continue talking and planning and hoping that some or all (if we are lucky) of our plans will happen.

The last few days we have been eating nothing but seafood. Shrimp, crab legs, and fish. The crab legs were on sale so we were able to afford it. Believe me, if it was an ordinary day where we have to pay $7.99 or higher per pound for crab legs we will not even think about buying any. But anyway, it was on sale so we bought eight bags and already ate four! In between that we have boiled and stir fried shrimp, and fried fish. The husband asked me if it is possible for us to get mercury poisoning and I was horrified at the thought. I did not even think about it until he brought it up. So I searched online and thankfully the shrimp and the fishes we have been gobbling down were low in mercury. I don’t know about the crabs though. To be honest I am ready for meat, particularly chicken. And we do have breasts here but I could not cook anything until we eat everything that is in the fridge. We are broke from all the sales but we do have plenty of food at home. Hopefully the electric will not go out, lol.

Even if we do not have a home office, the husband never fails to have basic office supply handy like print papers, paper clips and staplers, pens, file folders, mailing envelopes, and a lot more. He said he hates to run to the store in case he needs any of these items. And I must admit it is better to have whatever we might need so we do not have to make special trips to the store. The downside is when the little man gets hold of any of these items it gets messy so we have to put everything up which the husband does not like. He often tells me his son should leave things alone and I told him good luck on that one. I mean, I try to stop the little man, divert his attention even, but when he sets his mind on something he has to do it justĀ to appease his curiosity and there is nothing I can do to change that. I do the cleaning up though and try to salvage whatever I can. The good thing now is that whenever he has done what he set out to do he leaves things alone as long as I do not make too much fuss about it. It sometimes take up time to clean up but I still love the fact that we have the basic office supplies at home.

The husband told me the other day that he thinks there is something wrong with the son-in-law’s health. I asked him why he would think such a thing and he said it was because he is thin. I told him that the first time we met him he was basically skin and bones but then gradually gained weight when he started working and earning a lot of money. He said this time it is different because the last time we saw him he was looking good and in a matter of weeks he lost a lot of weight. We supposed it might have something to do with a disease he has which can only be treated but not cured. Meaning he will have it for the rest of his life and he has to take constant medication for it. It is awful to happen to somebody very young but it seems like the disease is genetic. Anyway, he does have a life insurance policy which they got about a year before his disease was discovered. It was amazing really that he got approved but then maybe he did not have it then. It surely would have showed in his blood test if he did. It is a good thing him and his wife thought about getting life insurance before the outbreak. We do hope he will continue to have good health for his and his family’s sake.

One of the things I love about living in the south is access to my favorite seafood. One can never get tired of these fare. Above is one of my favorite seafood recipe, sinigang na hipon ( shrimp in sour soup). It is perfect for rainy days according to me
I fixed this yesterday using the shrimp we bought from the Flea market. Yes, they do sell shrimp in there. In fact, they also have fish, clams, crabs (during crab season, of course), squid, and a lot more. Anyway, I did not put in any more ingredients aside from the water spinach, tomato, and sinigang mix because I did not have anything else. It still turned out to be good. I gobbled down the shrimp and slurped on the soup while the husband looked on worrying what I will look like if I keep on pigging out, lol. He should not worry though, I only fixed a few servings. I tell you though, I had to have an antacid ready because I love my soup really sour and it does not agree with my ulcer. Thankfully it was worth it.

When the day is gloomy and cold is the time to stay home and fix food like chili or soup. We have not had chili this year but I already am cooking small portions of food to eat when we feel like it. I don’t know why but the dreary weather is making us hungry. And without any form of exercise, I do not want to think about the weight gain anymore. I can try appetite suppressants again but until when will it work? For the holidays I will try not to worry too much about weight gain and such. It will only dampen the mood. I will eat, I will enjoy. I can start whining again when the holidays are over

What do you do when you have acne? Are you like my brother who enjoys popping them? Or are you the kind to run to the store to find acne treatment for fear it will leave a scar? When I had acne breakouts I was the type to run to the store (when I had the money) to buy acne creams. I was so afraid that my then clear skin will have scars which actually takes a long time to get rid of. Did it help? Not really. It was because I was in a panic that I bought whatever was cheap and hoped it works. It did not and so I have plenty of scars in my face which I am not happy about but I don’t have a choice but accept. I realized that I should have been more careful on choosing the product. If I could turn back time I will surely pay more if it means clearer skin. But then I am not really that unhappy with the outcome. The scars are not that prominent anymore. I may have had acne outbreaks in the past but that was in the past. I have not had any in years. One or two would pop up once in a while and hurts like crazy but I just leave them alone. I don’t panic anymore. And I don’t run to the store to buy whatever I think works. When you get older things like this gets a turn in the back seat, if you know what I mean.
