I have been to a lot of blogs in the three weeks (?) that I am a member of entrecard than in the ten months that I blog. And I enjoy it. I like to read other people’s blog especially if the blog owner is a parent like me. The stories are funny and most I can relate to.
I have some problems with other blogs though. There are sites that my computer will not open because it detects some anomalies (bugs and what-nots). Others are so s-l-o-w to load that I have to close the page than wait forever. Some have pop-ups too. Thankfully my computer is set to block pop-ups and so I don’t have to be scandalized with whatever comes up.
I still have to make my first 300 drops in one blog though. I have several and I try as much as I can to drop on each blog so 300 per blog per day is like sitting in front of the computer all day long. I don’t think the little guy or the husband will like that. Perhaps I will try to do it on one blog in a given day. When that will be, I don’t know. I am happy with the returns even if some can’t even be bothered to visit my site. But then it is a free world. I can’t force somebody to hit me back just because I hit them. Maybe I will get lucky in the coming days.
I had to close the comment section for this blog because of the spams I get all the time. I found out a way to stop spams on my other blog though and that is to use the plug-in Akismet. It is supposed to filter all spam comments to happen on my blog and I hope it will do its job. I still have to find the API key for this blog though so this will have to wait. Perhaps I can try to use a tagboard here for a while. Or maybe not. I seem to like the closed comment thingy, lol. I am a nut, I know. I am happy that I seem to find a way to be in control of my blogs. Albeit just a little
Ah, the perks of having a good and generous friend hosting my blogs. Thank you mami Belle.
We plan to buy our own house in the years to come. We can’t keep on renting forever. We still have to save though. But we already have plans on what the house will look like, how many rooms it should have. We want our house to have a fenced-in yard too. So our son will have space to play outside without us fearing for his safety. If the house we will find doesn’t have a fence then we can always hire somebody for fence installation instead. We just hope we will be able to follow through our plans. In God’s own time.

food cravings
I am in a crazy mood again today. I am so hungry but I don’t know what to eat. There is food in the fridge that I can just heat up but it doesn’t have any appeal on my appetite right now. I don’t know what I want! If only the husband is here we probably could go somewhere to eat. This woman here is getting spoiled I guess. I might just end up starving myself which isn’t a good idea because I don’t want my ulcer to act up again. All I know is I don’t want anything oily or sweet or sour. What does it leave me with? Salty?
We are going to send a balikbayan box to Leyte in a few months. I have started accumulating things I can put in the box for my parents and the rest of the relatives. Papsy said his shoe size is six and a half and Mamsy said she wants another pair of sandals. I still have to get the shoes and sandals because those are a little expensive right now. I have to wait for stores to have sales so I can get these for less. I already bought flash memory for my niece because she claims she needs one. She actually has been bugging me about it since last year and if not for the husband deciding to get one for her then I probably would have conveniently forgotten about it. I know I am a lousy aunt, lol. We will have to make sure the box will get there before Christmas which means we only have two months to get ready.
One of the games which my cousins and I used to play when we were kids was tumbang-preso. It is a game that only needs a used tin can, an ”it” who tries to defend the can from tumbling over, and a couple of kids to of course hit the can with a slipper. The way it works is the kids try to hit the can with a slipper and then try to get the slipper without being caught by the “it”. The “it” then has to make sure the can remains standing so he can chase other kids to be the next “it”. It is just a cycle and it was fun. The fact that we got to play with everybody made it all more exciting. It involved a lot of running which was really scary for me who wasn’t very quick. There used to be arguments and shouting and sometimes shoving but we all loved the game. After all it was free and didn’t have too many rules. Thinking about it made me realize I was lucky as a kid I got to experience the things that I did.
It is my son’s birthday in two months time and I plan on getting him something special. It will be a good time since he will be two and is now beginning to appreciate toys and presents we give him. I want to look on personalized gifts as an option this time instead of the regular toys we see in stores and see how he reacts to it. I hope he will appreciate our effort and say thank you in that cute way of his.
I helped the husband clean the garden yesterday. And since it has been days that I didn’t water the plants the soil was bone dry. So he decided to soak the garden by letting the water run for a long time which didn’t really made much of a difference. I mean I watered the soil for thirty minutes but when he dug it with the shovel it didn’t even seep through. Now where the water went I had no idea. I stopped what I was doing and he had to continue doing it. I hope the plants had enough water to last them a few days because I don’t really want them to wilt. We are planning of planting new batch of tomatoes next weekend and this time we are going to put chicken wires around the plants so the squirrels will stay away.
