We went to the beach yesterday to practice driving and to walk. I had a good time behind the wheel. Paul said he don’t feel very nervous anymore when I’m driving which he said is an improvement.
And the amazing thing too, Josh now sleeps soundly when I’m driving. Now, that I consider an improvement! He used to whine and fidget when he sees me behind the wheel. I think he feels nervous too. But since Saturday he has been a good passenger.
After the driving lesson we went walking. We let bubby play on the sand. He loves to touch and dug a little hole on it. He also tried to dash to the water but dada was quick enough to know bubby’s intention. He even tried to fool dada into believing he just wanted to play and when he thought dada wasn’t looking, ran to the water. Of course we knew he was gonna do that so he was well guarded. We put him back on his stroller and started brisk walking. Josh didn’t like it and was whining all the way.
Halfway back, Paul spotted something on one of the tidal pools. He went closer to investigate. And what do you know, there was a big fish swimming in there! He wanted to catch the fish but we didn’t have any fishing gears. Plus too, the water was cold. After a few seconds of watching the fish ( yeah, that fast
) he decided to wade in the tidal pool. I told him he was crazy but there’s no stopping him. Took his shoes off, rolled his jeans and jacket, and off he went.
What happened after was deemed hilarious by bubby. He started laughing so hard he forgot he wasn’t happy being strapped in his stroller. I didn’t know where to look, at hubby who was trying to catch the fish bear-style ( he said ) or at bubby’s laughing face. They both looked cute. I was so noisy screaming and laughing.
Dada did catch the poor fish. He asked me if I want to keep it. It was a good two feet and probably three to four pounds. But I said no. I didn’t know what it was. I mean, sure it was fish from the ocean but I wasn’t familiar with it. We decided to let it go.
Josh was good after that. He had his share of the excitement. It was a fun morning. The bad thing though, it happened just when I left the camera at home.
