These pots were left out in the yard when it snowed a couple weeks ago. I totally forgot to bring them in and when I remembered the next day the husband was not too happy with me for leaving the plants to “die”. We normally bring our plants inside on winter months but I forgot a few this time. Well, we found out a few days later that the plants survived. That despite the freezing temperature the plants held their ground. But then why should I expect less of a plant which I found inside a refrigerator of an Asian store? It was not even a plant then, merely a stalk devoid of leaves and roots but when I planted one tiny stalk it grew to be a beautiful plant which I then separated into several pots. Almost four years (and several pots) later the lemon grass are still thriving. They do look unhealthy in this picture but it is because I have not watered them daily. And I think the plants need to be transferred either to bigger pots with fresh dirt or in the ground so they will flourish. When we move these pots will surely go with us.
