    07 Feb 2010 /  computer issues

At a time when the little man did not know he would love what a laptop could offer, he was bent on tearing it up. Both of my laptops suffered in his hands. I would open it and notice missing keys. When we only had two laptops with most keys missing I had to get online (after guessing which keys to punch to do my password) to look for guide so I could put the keys back in. He did it several times that I got to where I memorized every placement, lol. It got bad until he tore up the letter C on my new (at the time) laptop. It will not snap back in place no matter what I do and believe me I got really good at snapping these little keys back in place. It is just that the plastic got broken and so it does not do its job anymore. I went for months without a key on the letter C. I had to tap on the rubber that was left. Well, the husband asked where the missing key was at so he could try to put it back in. I gave him the letter C hoping what he had in mind will work. It did not. It got worse. Now I have a hard time when I have to type C because it requires more pressure than before. I was so mad when it first hit me. Not only these two try to run me off my computer (they each have their own laptop), now they totally ruin it. The husband offered to get me a new computer but I don’t want to spend any money anymore. Unless they promise not to touch my computer ever again. Chance of that happening? None. So I am punishing them and myself. Let’s see how long I will last.

This is what I have been doing before I went to bed last night (which was about midnight) and when I woke up this morning. Honestly, I did not want to wake up but the little man was persistent on waking me up saying hi while rubbing his face on mine. I now am grateful for what he did because I am able to think clearly and do things without being frustrated and angry unlike last night. If you must know, my old laptop acquired a virus two days ago which I thought I was able to get rid of until the husband told me there was this annoying pop up about an antivirus pro when he used my computer last night. I was so angry last night for the uselessness of this thing called antivirus protection. Paid a lot of money for it only to realize it is not worth a s*it. But anyway, I went to Acer and emailed support which was no use because I was told they could not help me and forwarded me to another online tech person. Way to go! So I am doing things on my own with the help of some readings online. I hope I did not mess things up or we might just have to get rid of the computer. I don’t think the husband’s reaction for me tearing something up again will be good, lol. It is crazy but I guess it is a learning process. I might have to lay off entrecard, yahoo messenger, and other sites as well because I am afraid of another infestation. Hay life!
